Finding your way.

Not every day is going to end up in craziness. Sometimes there are routine days that happen that’s gonna be.. well, mundane. But still, we attempt to make it as interesting as possible. Except when you deal with IKEA furniture. Then it’s anything but mundane.

So, last we spoke of this, IKEA and I had a battle to see who would reign supreme. That cart in the Leadoff post was supposed to be a bed and a futon. How did that go, you ask? Welp, the bed was a doozy to put up. Whitney helped me put it together, and so far, it hasn’t caved in. Good sign, right? Here’s what we’re looking at now:

The pink pillow is the most comfortable, thank you very much.

As for the futon, the pile of boxes and rolled up mattresses turned into this concoction..

Monkey likes it. Hasn’t complained yet.

Jay 1, IKEA 0.. Until I noticed that the bed needed a box spring since the mattress was uneven. So, I bought a box spring, thinking it would work.. And it did. Mattress is comfy. Still 1-0. Then I see that I still have two boxes.. which were supposed to be the base of the bed so I wouldn’t need a boxspring. #facepalm

Box spring was final sale, so can’t return that. So, I have two extra bases. Sigh.. Jay 1, IKEA 1. So, we’ll call it a wash. But it’s still comfy. I can start planning this summer out in bed and not feel like I have a slipped disc when I get up.

I’ve already got Disneyland planned out for the 4th of July weekend. Disneybounding, dinner, the whole 9. We’ll be live streaming, posting on Instagram and Facebook. Hopefully you can take part of this special weekend if you’re down there. Til then, stay away from IKEA furnishings and keep on being epic. #overandout
