Where are we in our lives? What or who do we view as important? Are they careers, are they hobbies, are they people? All legitimate questions. And all legitimate questions pointed at me at one time or other. Well, these were all questions I couldn’t answer at one time or another as well. It took quite a bit of time to get to the answers that I did. But I can tell you what they are to me. I’m sure you didn’t ask, but I’m sure I plan on telling you. 

“Where are we in our lives? Or most importantly, where are you in your life?

This is where I had the most trouble. My friend from college taught me about a technique of communication called “stream of consciousness”. It’s basically where you say what’s on your mind without stopping. You don’t stop to form your words, you don’t take a minute to gather thoughts, you just keep.. going. I think that is what has helped me going with this month. It helped me realize who and what I value in my life, and by doing this, it helps me allocate my time, energy and effort accordingly. I’m at a point of my life where a lot of things are coming to a crossroads. Some things are good, others are not so much, and all need improvement. Some can be changed with a simple question, and others can be changed with proactive action. Some situations can be changed in a moment, others will take time. Being vague is necessary in order to not play spoiler. I at least get that if you’re gonna get into my life, you know?

“What or who do we view as important?”

Those on my page that I’ve highlighted (I mean, besides immediate family and all) are the ones that I go hard for. And whatever I can do for them, I will. 

 “Are they careers, are they hobbies, are they people?”

Yes, yes, and yes. All three play a huge factor in my life. I’m still looking for my career, but have a nice setup where I am currently. My hobbies keep me sane when idle hands decide to intervene. And my people are important to me. Especially the first one in the #squad. =)

This isn’t a pretty picture filled post, mainly because I’m in Los Angeles and there’s a lot going on. I promise I will update you when I get back. There’s another piece to this puzzle. #overandout
